Dry Socket: An Infectious Process Treated by Ciprofloxacin: Case Studies

Dry socket is considered as the most common complication following tooth extraction. The incidence of dry around 3% for all routine extractions and might surpass 30% impacted mandibular third molars. It accompanied by a partially or totally disintegrated blood clot within alveolar socket, with without halitosis. mainly manifested severe irradiating pain that starts 1 to 4 days after dental extraction where becomes denuded, exposed tender touch. Based on findings previous bacterial culture antibiogram swab rebellion cases we proposed new pathogenesis theory based infectious process. Antibiogram showed sensitivity ciprofloxacin. this fact treatment consists prescribing ciprofloxacin unresponsive topical conventional treatment. In paper, present serial 6 simple surgical procedures which were mostly associated infection. onset started 1-4 it was radiating nonresponsive killers. Clinical examination revealed denuded in subjects. All patients ASA1 none has allergy later prescribed at 500 mg 3 times per day 5 days. relieved 12 24 hours antibiotic intake. This clinical result, addition laboratory findings, support more process socket.
